Counselors in Training (CITs)
CITs are high school graduates with leadership qualities and a passion for inspiring youth. CITs help facilitate programs in incredible countries all around the globe. Most of our CITs are veteran TFT travelers and are role models and leaders. CITs will learn the ins and outs of becoming a counselor and develop valuable skill sets.

Student Ambassadors
Program Benefits:
- Earn money to deduct from your program tuition
- Experience in marketing, networking, team building, and leadership to add to resumes and college applications
- Opportunities for social media takeovers, involvement with TFT’s TikTok and guest blogging
- Opportunities to participate in TFT events
- Special consideration for a future position as a CIT (Counselor In Training) or Junior Counselor
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for traveling with TFT
- Ability to network through social media
- Willingness to share your TFT travel stories with others
- Genuine desire to get other students interested in traveling with TFT
Requirements:
- Current 7th-12th grade students (or their equivalent)
- TFT alumni or plans to travel with us this summer
- Able to stay involved during the academic year and over summer
- Interest and/or experience in networking, social media, sales, and marketing
- Sharing your experiences with TFT with our partner websites and with members of your school and community

CITs
Program Benefits:
- Travel as a student leader on one or more of our summer programs
- Gain hands-on leadership experience by working one-on-one with TFT staff on the ground
- Experience in marketing, networking, team building and travel to add to resumes
- Workshops throughout the year focused on learning new skill sets
- Special consideration for a future position as a Junior Counselor
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for experiential learning and travel
- Experience working with youth (preferably 13-17 years old)
- Ability to perform as a role model to teens and be a team-player with your counselors
- Physical and mental stamina
- Eagerness to learn on the go
Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- At least one semester out of high school (studying, working, gap year, etc.)
- Experience working with youth preferred (but not mandatory)
- Able to attend two mandatory CIT training webinars held before the summer starts
