This is a star-studded tour of Europe's A-list hotspots in France, Italy and Spain - it's open to participants who have completed their Jr. and Sr. years of high school.

Discover Europe is designed to give you a brief, but authentic taste of some of our favorite cities and sights in Europe.

We will mingle with the locals, living in each culture and avoiding those long bus rides and soulless hotels that remove you from the real culture that you came to see and experience.

PARIS, FRANCE – The City of Light
Our voyage begins in Paris, the renowned City of Light. Here you will see Da Vinci's beguiling Mona Lisa in the world's most important museum, the Louvre. The majestic Eiffel Tower awaits nearby, and high-fashion shopping is always around the corner. We'll enjoy the end of a day at Napoleon's monument to himself, the Arc de Triomphe, where the best views of Paris at twilight belong to you.

You have the option to visit the Picasso Museum or the Musee d'Orsay, both home to sublime artistic masterpieces.

Paris also has the largest synagogue in Western Europe - You may visit the Holocaust Museum, just steps from the hotel. Wander the ancient streets of the artistic center, including the neighborhood of Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge, and walk in the steps of history everywhere you go. At night, check out one of the hottest clubs in Paris, where you'll dance until the wee hours of the morning.

Immerse yourself in fabulous fashion, shopping and the Parisian cafè lifestyle, then we'll spend our final night eating in a historic dining room enjoying fabulous cuisine.

FLORENCE, ITALY – Heart of the Renaissance
Florence will be our home for the next three nights. Florence, in the heart of Tuscany, is center of the Italian Renaissance, home to Michelangelo's "David" and the famous Duomo, as well as a series of famous "Renaissance men" such as Donatello, Leonardo da Vinci, Dante, and Machiavelli.

We will not supersaturate on art or museums, but will leave Florence with an enhanced understanding of the context in which the Renaissance artists worked and Medici family constructed their financial empire. We will eat a pizza dinner the likes of which you can only imagine, followed by a tour of the best homemade gelato places in Florence.

This Renaissance city also offers some of the best shopping around: Browse the shoes, bags, belts and wallets of the world-famous leather industry of Florence, or buy one of the distinctive journals of hand-made paper.

We’ll go on to explore the palace and private gardens of the Medici family, in the process learning how this family is almost single-handedly responsible for financing the flowering of the Renaissance as well as creating our modern financial system.

History, art, shopping and atmosphere are all combined in your visit to Florence. And don’t forget – A second night of clubbing, Italian-style, is on the schedule.

From Florence take a private coach to ancient Rome, stopping in Pisa along the way. Pisa is home not only to the Leaning Tower but also one of the oldest universities in Europe, where Galileo taught mathematics and performed his famous gravitational experiments.

vaticanROME – Seat of an Empire, Heart of Catholicism
All roads lead to Rome – While Florence enchants with its medieval and Renaissance architecture and artwork, Rome pulls you in with its deep layers of history, with impressive ruins around every corner, a powerful reminder of its foundations as the capital of the mightiest empire on Earth.

St. Peter’s Basilica, in the Vatican, is Western civilization's most important church and the heart of Roman Catholicism. The Vatican has an astonishing collection of priceless artistic treasures and some of the most captivating architecture in the world.

The recently restored Sistine Chapel and its spectacular ceiling, painted by Michelangelo on his back over the course of five years, is the main chapel in the Vatican Palace. Popes are elected here by the College of Cardinals.

In the ancient center of Rome we’ll explore the Pantheon, an architectural wonder and model for countless modern buildings. The Roman Forum was the commercial, political and religious center of ancient Rome. Marvel at the site of the Roman Senate, famous for Cicero and Ceasar’s orations. From the Forum you will climb the Palatine hill, where the emperors lived in their opulent palaces. The evocative ruins give you an unparalleled opportunity to imagine the Roman Empire in all of its decadent splendor.

colosseumNo visit to Rome is complete without entering the massive Colosseum, scene of gruesome gladiatorial combat and mock naval battles. The Colosseum is still regarded as the most monumental architectural inheritance from ancient Rome. In Roman times, the Colosseum seated 50,000 roaring spectators who watched the spine-chilling shows involving gladiators and exotic animals shipped in from far corners of the Roman Empire and beyond.

You can choose between seeing Rome's Jewish Museum and Great Synagogue where in the "Minhag Romi," the oldest European liturgy is still celebrated, or the Piazza Navona with its Bernini fountain and the nearby architecturally perfect Pantheon.

Trevi FountainThe Trevi Fountain, a romantic landmark in Rome, is best experienced at night, when crowds of young people gather to meet and socialize around the glowing marble. Visitors still honor the ancient tradition of throwing a coin in this fountain before leaving Rome - thus assuring their return.

Our final dinner in Rome is a spectacular outdoor banquet on the Appian Way, the famous road built in ancient Roman times. Then it’s Arrivederci, Roma, and on to Spain.

sagrada familiaBARCELONA, SPAIN – Mediterranean Paradise
beachFly to the most happening city on the Mediterranean, Barcelona, for good times on the beach, tapas and paella, and an unforgettable stroll on La Rambla.

We’ll take in many of Gaudi’s masterpieces, such as the Sagrada Familia church – still being built after 130 years – and the fantastical Parc Guell. Barcelona’s ancient Roman origins are visible in the grid layout of its old center and in the fragments of the Roman city walls that are incorporated into the Cathedral.

Take advantage of a final opportunity to shop in some of most lively outdoor markets in Europe and hit the beach before you sit down to a spectacular farewell dinner by the sea.

This spectacular trip gives you the best of France, Italy and Spain without spending your days trapped on a bus, missing so much of the authentic cultures that we at Travel for Teens love so much. On Discover Europe you will experience three distinct cultures, learn to be an independent traveler, and make memories to last a lifetime.
