We prioritize safety, comfort, and authenticity in all our lodging choices. Our groups stay in a mix of modern, well-located hotels, and comfortable, unique family-run accommodations. All locations are carefully vetted and supervised by our trip leaders. Safety is paramount: all accommodations meet rigorous standards, and our highly-trained trip leaders are present and available 24/7 to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for every traveler.

What kind of adventurous activities will we get to do?

You will get to experience a wide range of adventurous and thrilling activities, with options for both land and sea. Examples include whitewater rafting in Montana, taking a surf lesson in San Diego or Waikiki, snorkeling with manta rays at night in Hawaii, going on a Mangrove Eco Kayak tour in the Florida Keys, and exploring the wilderness on a Sled Cart Ride with puppies in Alaska.

re the tours in the United States suitable for high school students?

Absolutely! Our US programs are specifically designed for high school students, typically in grades 9 through 12, with varying trips geared toward different age ranges. The activities are challenging and engaging, and the itineraries focus on independence, teamwork, and responsible travel, all of which are perfect for older teens.

What do students like the most about our United States programs?

Our participants consistently rave about two things: the incredible natural beauty and the diverse adventures. Whether they are recounting the thrill of spotting wildlife in Yellowstone, the fun of surfing for the first time in California, or the unique experience of seeing the sun rise over Maui’s Haleakala volcano, the trips are packed with once-in-a-lifetime moments. The service components, like marine conservation, also stand out as a highlight for many teens.

What is the food like on a US program?

The food is diverse, delicious, and reflective of the region we are in! In California, we might enjoy local tacos and fresh seafood; in the Florida Keys, expect fresh Key Lime Pie and local catches; and in places like Montana, we’ll have hearty meals perfect for fueling up after a day of hiking or rafting. We always ensure a wide variety of meal options and can easily accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.

Authenticity is ingrained in everything we do. Eat, stay, and travel like a local.

"On behalf of Sofia and us as parents, I want to express just how transformative and remarkable Sofia's experience with Travel for Teen was. The program far surpassed our expectations, and we were genuinely impressed by the level of detail and attention you provided throughout the trip. From the daily reports to the captivating pictures, to the well-trained staff, and the well-planned itinerary, everything was executed flawlessly. Each day, we eagerly looked forward to your updates, which allowed us to feel connected to Sofia's journey and gave us peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. Moreover, we are immensely grateful that we made the decision to send Sofia on this unforgettable adventure. This trip not only provided Sofia with a broad overview of different cultures and unforgettable friendships, but it also offered a unique educational aspect. Sofia had the opportunity to actively participate in learning about the importance of caring for sea turtles, the Hawaiian ocean, coral reefs, and the overall Hawaiian environment. To hear her recount the countless adventures, including her firsthand experiences in protecting and preserving these precious natural resources, was truly heartwarming. It is evident that she has gained a deep appreciation for the environment and a sense of responsibility towards its conservation. Travel for Teen has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on Sofia's life, providing her with an invaluable education beyond the classroom. We cannot thank you enough for instilling in her a passion for environmental stewardship and for providing her with this incredible opportunity. We wholeheartedly endorse and recommend your program to other parents seeking both educational and life-changing experiences for their children."

"This past summer, I went on my third TFT trip and was once again swept off my feet by the adventure. On each trip, I have made lifelong memories and friends that I will forever cherish and they each have a spot on the ten best experiences of my life. My most recent trip, USA: California and the Grand Canyon, showed me the beauty in my backyard. One of my favorite parts was the bike tour in Santa Monica. It was a great way to explore the area with new friends. I also enjoyed going to the famous Griffith Observatory to watch the sunset and see the City of Angels light up the sky at night. The mix of activities planned for the trip made sure that everyone had something to do that was right up their alley, from sea kayaking to watching a show in Las Vegas! This also allows campers to get out of their comfort zone and try new things, such as surfing lessons. In Arizona, we got more in touch with the Earth and explored Grand Canyon National Park and Antelope Canyon, two of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Travel for Teens has had such a big influence on my life and because of them, I am a traveler, not a tourist."

Wendy L. San Antonio, TX

"No one would really think that if they could travel, they would go to Alaska. I was totally like that. But after seeing what this trip had to offer, I decided to sign up and do it. It was such an amazing experience! By far, my favorite Travel for Teens trip. I was with a small group and we all got along so great. The activities were amazing like going sea kayaking and seeing seals, going hiking and seeing a herd of wild goats and a glacier, and going whitewater rafting down a canyon! I would totally do this trip again if I could, I loved it so much. Travel for Teens is a great company to travel with because you’re going with great kids your age and you’re very safe. Also, the dinners and breakfasts are included and the counselors, food and accommodations are great! I absolutely love Travel for Teens and would totally recommend signing up for the USA for Older Teens: Alaska Service & Adventure trip (only if you like the outdoors though)."

Sydney J. Ajax, Ontario

"I was so lucky to be able to experience a TFT trip. I went to Hawaii on the sea turtle service and adventure. On my trip I met many new friends and created bonds with them which I will forever have. I had amazing role models as my counselors and I felt extremely comfortable with them. This trip all together was really the opportunity of a lifetime. I was able to begin my passion for traveling through this wonderful program. I learned many lessons that I will carry with me for my whole life. This experience was truly life changing and booking this trip was the greatest decision I ever made. can honestly say that I had the best summer of my life in the year of 2019 and that is all thanks to TFT."

Ayla Z. Kinnelon, NJ

"Aloha!! I'm Christine, Selin's mom, and I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for guiding and taking care of our teens on this wonderful adventure and for your amazing daily updates. My husband and I love reading them, and it really helps us appreciate everything Selin is experiencing there. It sounds like the kids are taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to connect with the Hawaiian culture, food, people, ecosystem, and marine life. Thank you again, and hope you all enjoy the remainder of the trip!!!"

Christine Rye, NY

"When I was first offered to go on a trip with Travel For Teens I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it so much because I was going to be the oldest person on the trip, but I'm am so glad I decided to go. I chose to go on the Hawaii Sea Turtle Service & Adventure trip and it was absolutely amazing. It has always been one of my dreams to go to Hawaii and Travel For Teens made my dream come true. On the trip I was able to try scuba diving for the first time and I loved it! I also got to swim with sea turtles which was fantastic. One of the coolest things about the trip was getting to learn more about sea turtles and how we can help them survive in the wild. The staff was amazing and were great to hang out with and talk to. Travel For Teens Helped me face my fears and learn that there is a beautiful world out there. I would recommend Travel For teens to anyone that is trying to give there child the trip of a lifetime."

Jayden White

"Adam had a spectacular time on his travel for teens journey to Alaska. He appreciated the diversity of activities and the adventures as well as traveling within the state. He was very impressed with his guides and had a real growth experience with you. I appreciate everything you did to carefully plan out the experiences."
