What should I pack for a summer trip to the Swiss Alps?
Layers are key! Even in summer, temperatures can change drastically between city valleys and mountain peaks. You’ll need comfortable, sturdy hiking/walking shoes, clothes for both warm weather (shorts, t-shirts), and cold weather (fleece or light jacket, rain jacket/windbreaker). Don’t forget a swimsuit for lake activities, a strong sunscreen, and sunglasses. The sun is very strong at high altitudes! A comprehensive, detailed packing list will be provided to you well in advance of your departure.
