London & Paris School Trip Overview

London and Paris: Two complementary European capitals that are at the top of every teen traveler’s list. Show your students both traditional and modern European culture in these two bustling metropolises. Teachers of all disciplines will have no trouble connecting what we see here to lessons in the classroom. From the incredible art found in the Louvre and the National Gallery, to the complex history these two countries share, and the literary contributions of their authors, there’s something for everyone on this tour. Students of French will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the language and practice what they’ve learned at school in the real world.

Our mission is to provide an authentic experience rooted in “teaching teens to be travelers, not tourists.” Our staff will help give students the tools they’ll need for a lifetime of travel, wherever their journeys may take them. TFT began as Paris For Teens, and thanks to our years of experience bringing students to France and the United Kingdom, we know exactly how to educate, excite, and inspire young travelers. Join us for the chance to immerse your students in the best that the Europe has to offer and leave them with memories to last a lifetime!

DAY 1: Cheerio, London!

Flight from your preferred airport to London.

DAY 2: Welcome to Westminster

Welcome to Great Britain! Arrive in London and meet your TFT staff, who will join you for the remainder of your journey. After getting settled into your hotel in the heart of the city, we’ll take a walking tour of downtown London to familiarize ourselves with the main sights, including the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing Street, the River Thames, and of course Big Ben! Finish off the day with your very first taste of British cuisine at one of our favorite local pubs.

DAY 3: Afternoon tea, anyone?

We’ll spend today enjoying some of London’s finest traditions, beginning with the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. From there, we’ll enjoy afternoon tea, featuring finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries. Next, we’ll take a walking tour of downtown London to familiarize ourselves with the main sights, including the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing Street, the River Thames, and of course Big Ben! After dinner, go on our unique “Blood and Tears Walk” to learn some darker secrets of London’s history.

DAY 4: The Best Views in London

The impressive Tower of London awaits today. Once home to some of England’s most notorious prisoners and now housing the Crown Jewels, this is a must-see and a student favorite! We’ll receive a guided tour from the Yeoman Warder guards at the Tower before crossing Tower Bridge (also known as London Bridge). After a delicious lunch in the always-busy Borough Market, we’ll explore the Southbank neighborhood and visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Top it all off with a ride on the London Eye, the massive Ferris Wheel that gives the best views over all of London!

DAY 5: Museums and Markets

On our final day in London, students will be given choices to visit what interests them most. We understand that student travelers have diverse interests and needs, so our staff do their very best to accommodate everyone’s must-sees. Readers of Sherlock Holmes can visit 221B Baker Street; Harry Potter fans can visit Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station; or they can walk in the footsteps of the Beatles at Abbey Road. After a visit to the eclectic Camden Market for some last-minute souvenir shopping, we’ll cap off our time in London with a show at the theater!

DAY 6: Bonjour, Paris!

A leisurely train ride on the famous Eurostar train brings us from London to Paris. After getting settled into our new hotel, what better way to kick off our time in France than by climbing the Eiffel Tower? Admire the views of the whole city from the top of the world’s most famous building. For your first French dinner, we’ll visit one of our favorite traditional bistros.

DAY 7: The City of Light by Bike

Begin your first full day in the City of Light with a guided tour of the Musée du Louvre to see firsthand some of the world’s most impressive masterpieces. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the Tuileries Gardens and have some time to climb the towers of the famous Cathedral of Notre Dame. We’ll then have a bike tour through “hidden Paris”, which is always a student favorite! Cycle with our local guide through the Marais, past Bastille, across the Seine and to the ancient heart of Paris. Tonight, enjoy a traditional dinner of fondue and raclette in the Latin Quarter. Cap off this amazing day with a twilight river cruise down the Seine to see Paris lit up at night.

Day 8: Visiting Paris' Masters

This morning, we’ll give the group their choice of which museums to visit. We understand that student travelers have diverse interests and needs, so our staff do their very best to accommodate everyone’s must-sees. Students can choose to visit the Musée d’Orsay, home to Post-Impressionist masterpieces by van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Signac, and more, or check out the modern art at the Centre Pompidou, where the museum itself is just as much a work of art as what’s within. In the afternoon, students will have their choice of exploring either the Luxembourg Gardens or the Père Lachaise Cemetery. The group will reconvene in the hip artistic neighborhood of Montmartre, where we’ll see the infamous Moulin Rouge and enjoy the view from the Sacré-Coeur Basilica before a fantastic dinner.

Day 9: The Château de Versailles

Take a short train ride out of Paris to the spectacular Château de Versailles, a hunting lodge-turned-palace. Our staff will teach students about the most important historical moments that have taken place here, including the reign of the Sun King, the French Revolution, the Treaty of Versailles signed in the Hall of Mirrors, and more. Stroll through the gardens and see Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet before picking up fresh lunch ingredients in the Versailles farmers’ market. After returning to Paris, climb the impressive Arc de Triomphe before having free time for souvenir shopping on the world-famous Champs-Élysées. Now’s the perfect time to buy macarons from Ladurée! We’ll celebrate the end of an incredible trip with an upscale final dinner at one of our favorite fancy restaurants.

Day 10: Au revoir, Europe!

Your TFT guides will accompany you to the airport and assist you with check-in for your flight. Wave goodbye as you head through security and sit back and relax on your flight home.

Stress-Free Planning and 24/7 Support

We are there for you every step of the way, and our support begins the moment you decide to do a TFT trip! We will provide you with a team member who will help bring your tour to life, along with everything you need to help get students to sign up for the adventure! On the tour you will have 24/7 dedicated staff with you to ensure everything runs smoothly and because we know travel is full of surprises, solve anything that may pop up along the way.

Photos and Email Updates

Your trip is special and you and your students should have those memories captured forever! Expect frequent personal email updates and hundreds of photos from your TFT staff shared with you and your students’ families so everyone can follow along on the journey. We are the only teen travel program to offer this in-depth trip communication and it truly makes all the difference!

"I wanted to thank you for a fantastic trip for Kayla. She was very excited but also very anxious about this trip. I heard from her a lot the first few days but was really encouraging her to advocate for herself. It sounds like she worked on doing that and relayed the positive outcomes of conversing with you. That was a big deal for us. In addition to that it sounds like an amazing trip, and never having been to Greece I’m envious! I hope that you enjoyed your time as well.Thank you so much for your updates, support, and for working with my daughter. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer."

"This trip…my goodness!!! When we hear from Jordan, he is beyond happy! He has said that “this is the best time he’s ever had” and things “couldn't be better”. Based on the photos, your blogs and the things he tells us, he is not going to want to come home!! Thank you, Vianeli and Hana for making this an experience of a lifetime!"

Holly B. Pleasantville, NY

"The feedback is that this has been the most outstanding trip Charlie has ever taken. This will go down as the time when my son broke out of his shell and started to really love life people places and experiences. Yes for such incredible friendships from these past 12 days and I don’t think I have ever seen him quite so happy every single time I talk to him. Charlie has expressed to me on numerous accounts how wonderful a counselor and guide and mentor and friend that you have have been. It is his fourth trip and by far his most favorite on all fronts. I can’t thank you enough for taking care of our children while in Europe. It’s a huge responsibility and you took it seriously and gave them the time of their lives. I could not be more grateful and appreciative of this trip and the program and the moments that he will carry with him the rest of his life. AAA+ grade in my book."
