France School Trip Overview
Our popular Walking In The Footsteps of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat program offers something for everyone as we explore four distinct regions of this incredible country. This tour has been designed specifically for Sacred Heart Network Schools. Wow your students with world’s best art collection in Paris’s Musée du Louvre, and get in touch with nature on a spiritual vineyard walk in Burgundy. Explore the secret passageways of the Alpine city of Lyon and stroll down the seaside promenade in Nice. Our perfectly-paced itinerary ensures that travelers will be able to see as much as possible without feeling rushed from place to place.
This program begins in the quaint Burgundy village of Joigny, famous for being the birthplace of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, founder of the Order of the Sacred Heart. TFT has long collaborated with the nuns who maintain Saint Madeleine Sophie’s family home, and both students and teachers on this program are grateful for the chance to walk in her footsteps.
Next, spend time in Lyon, the perfect city for understanding both French traditions and modern life. From there, we’ll travel to Nice. The Côte d’Azur awaits us with spectacular beaches, medieval villages, and boulevards buzzing with street performers and creperies. Lastly, no trip to France would be complete without visiting Paris, the City of Light, where we’ll take in the rich culture and history that has made this metropolis one of the world’s hottest travel destinations. Part of this trip will include a visit to Saint-François-Xavier to pay homage to her at her final resting place.
TFT began as Paris For Teens, and our years of experience bringing students to France means that we know exactly how to educate, excite, and inspire. We have collaborated with Sacred Heart Schools for more than a decade to deliver highly customized itineraries. After experiencing everything from the heights of the Eiffel Tower to the classic terraces filled with locals enjoying a café au lait, your students will come away with a new appreciation for French culture.
Join us on this one-of-a-kind cultural experience and leave them with memories to last a lifetime!
