Our popular France Voyager program offers something for everyone as we explore four distinct regions of this incredible country. Wow your students with world’s best art collection in Paris’s Musée du Louvre, and get in touch with nature on a spiritual vineyard walk in Burgundy. Explore the secret passageways of the Alpine city of Lyon and stroll down the seaside promenade in Nice. Our perfectly-paced itinerary ensures that travelers will be able to see as much as possible without feeling rushed from place to place.
This program begins in the quaint Burgundy village of Joigny, famous for being the birthplace of Sainte Madeleine Sophie Barat, founder of the Order of the Sacred Heart. TFT has long collaborated with the Convent and the nuns who maintain Sainte Madeleine Sophie’s family home, and both students and teachers on this program are grateful for the chance to walk in her footsteps. Next, spend time in Lyon, the perfect city for understanding both French traditions and modern life. From there, we’ll travel to Nice. The Côte d’Azur awaits us with spectacular beaches, medieval villages, and boulevards buzzing with street performers and creperies. Lastly, no trip to France would be complete without visiting Paris, the City of Light, where we’ll take in the rich culture and history that has made this metropolis one of the world’s hottest travel destinations.
TFT began as Paris For Teens, and our years of experience bringing students to France means that we know exactly how to educate, excite, and inspire. After experiencing everything from the heights of the Eiffel Tower to the classic terraces filled with locals enjoying a café au lait, your students will come away with a new appreciation for French culture. Join us on this one-of-a-kind cultural experience and leave them with memories to last a lifetime!
During this trip, you and your students will…
- Visit the birthplace and home of Sainte Madeleine Sophie Barat, founder of the Order of the Sacred Heart, and go for a contemplative walk through the vineyard surrounding the estate
- Try traditional French cuisine, such as crêpes, baguettes, omelets, and even escargot in Lyon
- Relax on some of the most popular beaches in the French Riviera
- Get the best views of Paris from Montmartre, the Arc de Triomphe, and of course the Eiffel Tower
- Illustrate the history of French art at the Musée d’Orsay, home to Impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Degas, Cézanne, van Gogh, and more

Begin your first full day in France with a tour of the quaint village of Joigny. After lunch, take a contemplative walk through the vines with the Sisters. Walk through the rolling green hills of vineyards for an immersive experience into one of the most important aspects of French culture. During the afternoon, the Sisters will lead us in several spiritual meditation exercises. Students will have free time to explore Joigny before having dinner at the Centre.
DAY 4: Secret passages of Lyon
It’s time for the next stop on our journey. Take your private coach from Joigny to Lyon, stopping for lunch along the way. Upon arriving in this beautiful city, have a guided walking tour led by a local. We’ll walk through the traboules, or secret passageways that connect the buildings; visit the ancient Roman amphitheater and learn about the city’s multicultural past, and explore both sides of the Rhône and Saône Rivers. We’ll savor a dinner of traditional Lyonnais cuisine before taking an evening walk for gelato or dessert crêpes.
DAY 5: #ILoveNice
We understand that student travelers have diverse interests and needs, so our staff do their very best to accommodate everyone’s must-sees. This morning, students will have the choice of taking the funicular up to see the Fourvière Basilica; having more time for souvenir shopping; or taking in one of Lyon’s many wonderful museums. Then we board the train to Nice! Upon our arrival, we’ll take a seaside stroll around Vieux Nice, including the yacht port and the “#ILoveNice” sign. Climb up to the clifftop fortress and waterfall for incredible views of the Côte d’Azur. We’ll have our first dinner of Niçoise cuisine, followed by a nighttime stroll to soak up the ambiance and get a gelato for dessert.
DAY 6: Charming Provençal villages
Today we’ll explore some of the charming Provencal villages surrounding Nice. Begin with a morning visit to Èze, a beautiful medieval village on a clifftop, where you can also visit the Fragonard perfume factory. And who said school tours had to be all work and no play? Spend the afternoon relaxing on one of France’s best beaches. In the evening, we’ll have dinner in Nice and watch the street performers on the Promenade des Anglais.
DAY 7: Exploring the City of Light
Board the high-speed TGV train from Nice to Paris for a pleasant ride through the French countryside. After arriving in Paris and getting settled in, what better way is there to begin your time than with a trip up the world’s most famous building? After enjoying the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, enjoy your first Parisian dinner in a classic bistro.
DAY 8: Bike through Paris like a local
To bring our journey full circle, we’ll visit Sainte Madeleine Sophie Barat’s tomb in the Church of Francis Xavier. Next, students will explore the Musée d’Orsay, home to some of the most famous masterpieces by Impressionists such as van Gogh, Monet, Cézanne, Signac, Manet, Degas and more. Enjoy lunch by the impressive Gothic Cathedral of Notre-Dame. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a bike tour of Paris’ hidden alleys and ancient history. Always a student favorite, our local guide will bring us through the Marais, past Bastille, across the Seine and to the ancient heart of Paris. (An alternative will be offered for those not comfortable on a bike.) Later, have some free time to explore the Latin Quarter before enjoying a traditional dinner of fondue and raclette. Cap off this amazing day with a twilight river cruise down the Seine to see Paris lit up at night.
Day 9: Best views of Paris
On your last day in Paris, get up close to priceless art like the Mona Lisa and Winged Victory on our guided tour of the Musée du Louvre. We’ll have a picnic lunch in the Tuileries Gardens before climbing the Arc de Triomphe. Enjoy some last-minute souvenir shopping on the world-class Champs-Élysées–now is the perfect time to pick up macarons from Ladurée! We’ll celebrate the end of an incredible journey with an upscale final dinner in the hip artistic neighborhood of Montmartre. See the infamous Moulin Rouge, the ancient windmill that still stands today, and the view from the Sacré-Coeur Basilica before enjoying haute cuisine at one of our favorite elegant restaurants.
DAY 10: Au revoir, Paris!
Your TFT guides will accompany you to the airport and assist you with check-in for your flight. Wave goodbye as you head through security and sit back and relax on your flight home.
The TFT Difference
We Never Combine Groups
Your tour should be special and just for you and your students! We will never combine two or more groups on the same bus or tour. We will lead a trip with as few as six people and a teacher. Your Trip Director travels with you for the duration of your program.
Stress-Free Planning and 24/7 Support
We are there for you every step of the way, and our support begins the moment you decide to do a TFT trip! We will provide you with a team member who will help bring your tour to life, along with everything you need to help get students to sign up for the adventure! On the tour you will have 24/7 dedicated staff with you to ensure everything runs smoothly and because we know travel is full of surprises, solve anything that may pop up along the way.
Photos and Email Updates
Your trip is special and you and your students should have those memories captured forever! Expect frequent personal email updates and hundreds of photos from your TFT staff shared with you and your students’ families so everyone can follow along on the journey. We are the only teen travel program to offer this in-depth trip communication and it truly makes all the difference!

"I had never done an overnight camp before and I decided to go big and go to Scotland and Ireland with TFT! It was the best experience I ever had and I made so many memories. First off, the staff is incredible and they always take care of safety first, they are very fun and very supportive. One of the best adventures I remember was when we went rock climbing on the cliffs and rocks on the coast of Ireland, we got to jump off from the cliffs and into the ocean and that was such a blast. We also got to visit a castle and learn about falcons and even hold them as they would fly back and forth off our arms. The food was also incredible, as we got to try typical meals like a full English breakfast and haggis. The accommodations were very good too. For two of the three places we stayed at, we stayed at a hostel. They were quite small, but with all the new friends you meet there, it does not feel weird to be within such close proximity with others. The third place we stayed at was at an outdoor activity center on Achill Island and that was the most fun since every day there was a new activity such as surfing, canoeing, coasteering (climbing the rocks by the ocean), archery, and so many more. I have traveled a lot before, but with TFT, they are always on the move and you are trying new activities and trying new food while taking in the breathtaking scenery."
"I was given the opportunity of a lifetime: to travel across Europe with amazing kids my age and outstanding counsellors. This trip showed me beautiful parts of the world I longed to see since I was a little girl. Not only were the people, accommodations and food incredible, but also the activities. Like canyoning down a mountainside in the middle of the Swiss Alps, paddle boating in the canals of Amsterdam and riding my bike on a beautiful trail just at the foot of Neuschwanstein Castle to a lake where we could swim to the middle and face the German hillside with two beautiful castles as the backdrop. After going on this trip, I can now tell my friends that I’ve travelled across Europe and I’m not even finished with high school yet. It was truly an incredible experience and I would totally recommend it to any teenagers aspiring to travel."
"I have traveled with TFT for four summers now, exploring Costa Rica, Croatia, Fiji and Greece. These trips have been the highlight of my summers. They have broadened my horizons and strengthened my confidence. Going on these trips and meeting new people changed how I view the world. I love having conversations with locals and people I meet along the way. The small TFT groups and the knowledgeable and enthusiastic group leaders make for a fun and eye-opening experience. What sets TFT apart is that we immerse ourselves in the culture and we are not just tourists. We meet locals, hear stories about their lives, and it is truly invigorating. Travel For Teens has given me so much more than fun memories over the summer. They have given me the ability to be comfortable talking to anyone, being in new places, having a widened perspective on other cultures, and to be independent. On my Costa Rica and Fiji trips, we volunteered with school children. In a very short time we made deep connections that I will always cherish. I feel so fortunate to have had my eyes opened through TFT to so many beautiful places and memorable people."
