Trip Overview

From one city rich in Catalan culture to another one filled with elegant European tradition, discover Barcelona and Paris with TFT. These two complimentary Mediterranean cultures thrive on the juxtaposition of ancient history and buzzing modernity. Begin in Barcelona, an ancient Roman trading port that has grown into the capital of Cataluña and one of Europe’s hottest destinations. A short flight over the border brings us to Paris, where we’ll embrace this city’s artistic heritage and the cuisine that has made it one of Europe’s must-visit locales. This tour is adaptable for any season, featuring exciting activities to widen your students’ horizons no matter what time of year you choose to travel.

Our mission is to provide an authentic experience rooted in “teaching teens to be travelers, not tourists.” Language students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in French and Spanish and practice what they have learned in the classroom. Our staff members will help students discover that foreign languages are an exciting tool they can use wherever their travels might take them.

Thanks to our years of experience in leading teenagers all over Europe, TFT staff are experts in engaging and inspiring student travelers. Join us on this one-of-a-kind cultural experience and leave them with memories to last a lifetime!

Take a day trip out of Barcelona to the tranquil seaside towns of the Costa Brava. First, we’ll explore Tarragona, which was known to the ancient Romans as “Tarraco,” and check out the Roman Amphitheatre, ancient temples, and archaeological ruins of this seaside city. After lunch, visit the whitewashed village of Sitges for beach time or return to Barcelona to visit a labyrinth and shop along las Ramblas. We’ll savor a final Spanish dinner before an evening flamenco performance, where we’ll watch the dancers’ feet fly at a local tablao!

DAY 6: The Eiffel Tower

"I wanted to thank you for a fantastic trip for Kayla. She was very excited but also very anxious about this trip. I heard from her a lot the first few days but was really encouraging her to advocate for herself. It sounds like she worked on doing that and relayed the positive outcomes of conversing with you. That was a big deal for us. In addition to that it sounds like an amazing trip, and never having been to Greece I’m envious! I hope that you enjoyed your time as well.Thank you so much for your updates, support, and for working with my daughter. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer."

"This trip…my goodness!!! When we hear from Jordan, he is beyond happy! He has said that “this is the best time he’s ever had” and things “couldn't be better”. Based on the photos, your blogs and the things he tells us, he is not going to want to come home!! Thank you, Vianeli and Hana for making this an experience of a lifetime!"

Holly B. Pleasantville, NY

"The feedback is that this has been the most outstanding trip Charlie has ever taken. This will go down as the time when my son broke out of his shell and started to really love life people places and experiences. Yes for such incredible friendships from these past 12 days and I don’t think I have ever seen him quite so happy every single time I talk to him. Charlie has expressed to me on numerous accounts how wonderful a counselor and guide and mentor and friend that you have have been. It is his fourth trip and by far his most favorite on all fronts. I can’t thank you enough for taking care of our children while in Europe. It’s a huge responsibility and you took it seriously and gave them the time of their lives. I could not be more grateful and appreciative of this trip and the program and the moments that he will carry with him the rest of his life. AAA+ grade in my book."
