Shan Meisner

Trip Director

Two of Shan’s favorite things in the world are languages and cultural exchange, which she discovered on a high school trip abroad. That experience inspired her to earn a B.A. in German Studies and a minor in Asian Studies at Rutgers, and spend a year in Frankfurt as an English Teaching Assistant. She then guided many international students as a Career Counselor at UC Berkeley and NYU, before pivoting to teaching in 2021. Now, as a teacher of English as a Second Language in New Jersey, it’s her privilege to support high schoolers from all over the world. Not to mention, she has the dream summer job traveling with TFT! Outside of work, Shan loves cooking, yoga, Studio Ghibli movies, playing piano, and befriending every dog and cat she meets.
