Sarah Cheshire

Sarah is an avid adventurer, poet, banjo-strummer, and nature-lover currently living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she teaches introductory courses in literature, writing, and fine arts at the University of Alabama and mentor. She completed her B.A.at Oberlin College in 2014 and earned a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Alabama in 2020. As a graduate student, she published poems and essays in a variety of nationally-respected literary journals. Outside of the classroom, her adventures have included hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, backpacking solo through the United Kingdom and Ireland, biking across the United States as a teenager, and studying abroad in South Africa. She’s so excited to help teens this summer develop a love for travel!
