Mike Shippie

Counselor

Mike is from Boston, Massachusetts and works as a world languages teacher in New England. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College, a master’s in education from Notre Dame, and a master’s in Spanish from Middlebury College. He’s studied French in Québec, Canada and Spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When not working with students in the classroom, he’s also led student trips to Mexico, Ecuador, Italy, France, and Spain. Connecting travel and education has long been a passion, and on any trip, he’s always down to find a monument to climb (or stairs to conquer) to take in the view. He’s looking forward to exploring more of the world this summer with TFT!
