Michael Durfee

Trip Director

Michael is a native of Ithaca, New York, but he likes to move around. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Environmental Studies and Medieval Studies. During his time in college, he studied abroad for a semester in Cyprus and again in Germany. He has traveled all around Europe, North Africa, and Central America on solo adventures and research trips. He loves sharing the wonders of the world with others because they’re just so fascinating and endless! He spent a few years as a middle school adventure education teacher in Florida and currently lives in Montana splitting his time between field conservation, apple orchards, and backpacking the northern Rockies until he can get back to guiding and subtropical climates!
