Kathleen Sanz

Trip Director

Kathleen was born in France to a French mother and American dad. She was lucky enough to live the Army ‘brat’ life in Europe until she was a senior in high school. She majored in biology at the University of Massachusetts and then graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Science from the University of New Hampshire. Having taught science from grade 6 to grade 12 over the past few decades has allowed her to share her love of all types of science. Kathleen loves to challenge her students through travel; some of which have included whitewater rafting, camping, hiking, kayaking, and adventure training. She has traveled/lived in over 18 countries with her family and looks forward to adding many more to her list. Kathleen is excited to combine some of her favorite things this summer – travel, teens, photography, science, adventure and the quest for the perfect cappuccino!
