Joe Rivera

Trip Director

Joe Rivera is a native Angelino with a bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies and Linguistics, and a master’s degree in Special Education. Before making travel his career, he taught English and Science at Marlton School for the Deaf in Los Angeles. He is now a full time tour director and a part-time sign language interpreter. Travel for Teens first met Joe when he was serving as a language and culture ambassador at a local school in Torre del Mar, Spain. Joe’s contagious enthusiasm and passion for other culture’s customs, traditions, and gastronomy makes him the perfect tour director for any destination.
