Galen grew up in New Hampshire. While studying at Gettysburg College, she took two semesters abroad in Sweden and Tunisia, and spent summers working with teens at an academic summer camp in California. Galen then moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, and loved having the UK as a home base to explore more of Europe and Northern Africa. She wishes could have started traveling sooner and loves being a part of this opportunity for TFT travelers!
