As avid travelers, we pretty much fall in love with everywhere we go. One glimpse of the sparkling water in Fiji and we are head over heels. A day with the pandas in China and we are smitten. One taste of the pizza in Italy and we are hooked. It seems like each new destination we visit captures our hearts. To narrow down our most beloved destinations is not an easy task. However, at this very moment, there are a few places that are truly begging our love and devotion.
1. Thailand
Elephants, islands, temples and pad thai, need we say more? Thailand is steadily climbing to the top of every traveler’s “must see” list and with good reason! There are numerous activities to captivate every traveler. You could go on an exhilarating jungle trek and sleep in a hill tribe village beneath the stars. You could play with elephants and appreciate why they are Thailand’s national animal. You could explore the intricate and beautiful temples that are so important to this country. You could even just spend the day on an island, just relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery. Whatever experience you are looking for, you are sure to find it here!
2. Croatia
Croatia has long been considered Europe’s “hidden gem” and with good reason! This country is not on the radar of many tourists, yet it is filled with gorgeous whitewashed buildings and streets, pristine beaches, an abundance of waterfalls and delectable cuisine. One of the best ways to view the country is to sail down its Dalmatian coast while exploring its tropical islands and charming historical cities like Split and Dubrovnik. 3. Italy
A tried and true favorite, anyone who visits Italy will immediately understand why this country has long topped the list of most travelers. Maybe its the rolling hills and vineyards of Tuscany or the crystal clear water and black sand beaches of the Mediterranean. Maybe its the charming cities or ancient monuments spread throughout the country. Or maybe it’s simply the country’s mouthwatering cuisine. After all, who wouldn’t love a country based around pizza, pasta, and gelato? Either way, Italy has us understanding “la bella vita” and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
4. Spain
From the gorgeous coastline to the exciting cities like Madrid, Spain has it all. We love how it has so many unique places to explore, each with a different feel. Visit Barcelona for a cosmopolitan city with a hip beachy vibe. Hit up Madrid for culture and history. Travel to charming Seville, get lost in the winding streets and enjoy an authentic flamenco show. In Granada, see the majestic Alhambra palace and be blown away by the stunning Moorish architecture. Wherever you visit in this diverse country, be sure to sample plenty of tapas!
5. Greece
Ancient ruins, beautiful islands, gyros, and spectacular sunsets are just a few of the reasons why we have fallen in love with Greece. You can immerse yourself in the country’s history while visiting the Acropolis and other archeological sites in Athens and then spend your days relaxing on the shores of the Mediterranean on one of the country’s many islands. We are partial to Paros and Santorini. The whitewashed houses, perfect beaches, plentiful water sports, and vibrant sunsets can’t be beat!
