Start Newark to Paris

End Paris to Newark

Paris is one of the most evocative and enchanting cities in the world, and it is no surprise that the art of photography has its origins in this very place. On this unique trip to Paris you will have the opportunity to explore the city through your camera lens, guided at every step of the way by our professional staff. At the end of the trip you will be left with an incredible portfolio of your own iconic images from the City of Light.

DAY 1: NEWARK (FOR THOSE WHO OPT TO TAKE THE GROUP FLIGHT)

As the group flight takes off, the trip officially begins!

DAYS 2 – 10: PARIS (WITH DAY TRIPS TO VERSAILLE AND GIVERY)

Our first three days in France are spent learning the city and exploring two of the most famous museums in the world, as well as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Élysées. A night cruise down the Seine is a unique opportunity to practice night photography. As always, the itinerary includes a variety of choices each day so that you create your own custom trip. We will offer daily photography workshops related to the activities on that given day.

Throughout the trip, we will be breaking into smaller groups to accommodate a wide range of choices such as museums, cooking lessons, browsing the markets, and a sunset bike ride through Paris’ courtyards and alleyways. Nightlife includes exploring the quartiers, movies, concerts and dancing – and of course, learning the tricks of nighttime photography.

We feature our incredibly popular insider tour of the 12th largest fashion house in France, where you will spend time with the owners and designers, see the products and learn how they are designed, fabricated, marketed and distributed. This unique experience is a true lesson in the fashion business. For those not interested in fashion, Paris offers a vast array of other activities and choices.

We will also spend time outside of Paris visiting the Palace of Versailles and Monet’s gardens at Giverny. On the last night, you will enjoy a spectacular final dinner in a historic restaurant reminiscent of Versailles.

IMPROVING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS

Whether you’re a point-and-shoot beginner wanting to learn how to think like a pro and kick your travel photography to the next level or an experienced DSLR shooter looking to refine your skills and get fresh ideas, this trip is for you!

Our goal is to teach participants to adopt the mindset of a pro so that with time they learn how to choose their subjects and compose unforgettable shots. In order to provide quality personal attention, we will divide our group into beginner and intermediate/advanced levels. We will concentrate on shooting urban scenes, portraiture, and landscapes, and teach students how to take advantage of available light both at night and in low-daylight/indoor conditions. Basic skills, including proper adjustment of the ISO, shutter speed, and aperture will also be covered.

This trip to Paris is the perfect way to grow as a photographer and create a stunning Paris portfolio that will amaze your family and friends. See you in France!
