Having never before traveled to Italy, it was much more than I anticipated. Italy has always been our first choice of places to visit. I found the architecture, especially the Cathedrals, far beyond anything I have ever seen. Photographs do not do them justice. The menu was fabulous. Seeing the different suburban and rural areas gave us a good understanding of the diversity within the Italian population. Venezia was my favorite followed closely by Monterosso. I thoroughly enjoyed the train travel as it provided a great opportunity to see the cities and countryside. I look forward to again "dining my way across Italy" in the near future.
