Start Newark to Paris

End Nice to Newark

Come to the glittering city of Paris, sharpen your French skills and take in the best of French culture! There is no better way to improve your ability to communicate in a second language than to immerse yourself in it, and here you will do just that; spend your mornings taking French lessons and your afternoons and evenings traversing Paris’s legendary quarters. See the best the city has to offer! Our experienced bilingual staff will accompany the group at all times.

DAY 1: NEWARK (FOR THOSE WHO OPT TO TAKE THE GROUP FLIGHT)

As the group flight takes off, the trip officially begins!

DAYS 2 – 16: PARIS

Your weeklong French courses will be held in the morning at the Perl Language School of Paris, and in the afternoon you will have the chance to put your classroom learning to the test as you wander the city and interact with Parisians. Don’t worry if you’re beginner or you don’t think you speak well – this language experience is designed to benefit any and all skill levels and the important thing is to do your best and learn from one another. We stay at a lovely Parisian hotel in the Marais, one of the most exciting and culturally and historically rich districts of the city. Here, you’ll be just minutes from Paris’s most sought after attractions. We’ll take you from the heights of the Eiffel Tower to the depths of the city’s creepy catacombs. You’ll shop in posh boutiques along the Champs-Èlysèes and scour the flea markets for bargains. And all along, you’ll get to hone your French skills as you talk your way through the City of Lights. Before you leave Paris, you will have the exciting options of taking excursions to Normandy and London. After your one or two weeks of intensive language classes, the remainder of the trip will be spent exploring the south of France with Nice as your base.

DAYS 16 – 20: PROVENCE

We travel via the fastest train in Europe, the TG V, to Nice-still in France but oh so different from Paris. A day in glamorous Monte Carlo*, dinner overlooking the famous casino, crescent beaches framed by fringes of trees, outdoor markets and the rich, sultry atmosphere of Nice create such special memories.

There is a day in St. Paul de Vence or Eze to connect participants with the villages of Provence, sources of artistic inspiration for centuries. The final dinner is at an elegant restaurant right on the beach beside the Mediterranean, gentle breezes wafting, while candles and music give a fitting end to a trip that encompasses much of the best that French culture has to offer.

*Small Additional Tuition
