Kalimera! is good morning in Greece; a magic word evoking a smile and a greeting in return.

As a traveler (NEVER a tourist!) on our Greece adventure you will feel the spirit every single day. Your choices make this ancient culture your very own trip of a lifetime, and our very cool counselors keep the fun and the learning going 24/7. They also keep you safe, our highest priority.

Cook a Greek meal, dance, meet Greek teens, prowl the ruins, windsurf on the islands and much more. Our behind the scenes access makes your trip even more special. In Athens, even souvenir shopping in the Plaka district is a cultural event. Depart a modern shop, then walk thirty feet into the past to the ancient, many-sided Tower of the Winds.

Travel for Teens: Greece - acropolisDelphiAs you go, you get glimpses of the imposing architecture of the Parthenon, perched above the city on the Acropolis, which dominates the city of Athens.

The colossal Temple of Olympian Zeus, the largest in Greece is on the agenda too. As host city to the 2004 Olympics, Athens has just undergone a facelift. The Greeks invented Olympic athletic contests and held them in honor of their gods. You will visit the ancient and modern Olympic stadiums.

Travel to mystical, mysterious, mindblowing Delphi, source of the Oracle that began the story of Oedipus. Just what is this mysterious Oracle of Delphi? It is a spiritual answer.

Delphi is known as the center of worship for the god Apollo, son of Zeus, who embodied moral discipline and spiritual clarity. People came to hear the Oracle speak and dispense wisdom amongst the whispering trees.

The mainland is not all that Greece offers the in-the-know traveler...

Travel for Teens: Greece - sunsetA ferry ride brings you to an island famous in ancient times for two things: its fine marble, and for having sided with the Persians against Athens (for which it paid dearly!). It is also typical, with whitewashed cubic houses with blue doors and windows, traditional, narrow streets, flowered balconies and squares, churches, hilly vineyards, and nightlife. Water sports abound and you visit the quarry famous for the white marble used for the Venus de Milo (in the Louvre, Paris) and the Temple of Apollo.

From traditional island life to Internet cafes, this island has it all - white sand beaches, watersport fun, warm breezes from terraces overlooking the blue sea, fragrant flowers spilling everywhere and lots of young people enjoying themselves in paradise.

Travel for Teens: Greece - housesA second ferry ride brings you to a land of dramatic red and black sand beaches, whitewashed houses and cobblestone alleyways. One of the premier luxury destinations in the world, this is the most spectacular of the Greek islands. Its landscapes of blue-domed roofs, dazzling white walls and black-sand beaches contrast the charming with the unearthly.

The pool overlooks the sea, as do the terraces where we dine. You can actually swim in the crater of the volcano or hike its rim and peer in, knowing that at some point it will erupt again. Thousands come to marvel at its sea-filled caldera (crater), a vestige of what was probably the world's largest volcanic eruption.

Picture yourself joining a spontaneous village celebration and hearing stories from a local as the sun comes down over the watery horizon. The sunsets are not to be believed and neither is the clubbing, safely with our counselors with you.

Speaking of sunsets - this is the sailing vessel we will board for OUR sunset cruise.

Back in Athens our last night features a spectacular dinner on a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Acropolis. Greece grabs your heart and won't let go. Your mind may find a few logical reasons why this land is so special, but your heart knows that it cannot be defined, only felt.
