HIGHLIGHTS:

Both sessions start in Madrid, where you’ll have two full days to explore the best of what the capital of Spain has to offer; we’ll eat paella in the Plaza Mayor, see the Royal Palace, shop in the Plaza del Sol in the heart of the city, check out the Museo del Prado and the Reina Sofia, experience the nightlife, and much more.
We'll also have plenty of time to explore Granada's famous Albaicin neighborhood, known for its twisty narrow cobblestone streets and gleaming whitewashed houses. As you learn your way around you’re sure to meet neighborhood locals and practice your Spanish as you navigate the maze like streets dotted with miniature plazas with views of the Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada mountains. At night students often gather in these little plazas to play Flamenco and sing into the early hours. The Albaicin is also home to schools of Flamenco dance and guitar where (if so inclined to learn!) you'll have the opportunity to take classes. |

What makes Granada particularly unique is the Moorish influence left from hundreds of years of Arab rule—the architecture, the food and the artisan markets mixed with modern Spanish culture make the city the world renowned cultural Mecca that it is. So join us this summer for this incredible opportunity to learn and LIVE Spanish in this beautiful city. You will come away with a learning experience unlike any other and an understanding of what it’s like to live as a local in the old exotic world of Andalucía, Spain. |
