TFT Trip Director Kate Clark is an accomplished world traveler and elementary school teacher of gifted kids. She brings her incredible enthusiasm and unfailingly positive outlook to every TFT trip that she leads, whether its in Greece or Australia & New Zealand. Favorite travel book, magazine, or film? 
Let’s Go or Lonely Planet series. Fun reading would be any “chic flick” type book or The Alchemist

What is your current job outside of TFT? 
I am an Elementary Teacher of gifted students

Besides the essentials, list 3 things you refuse to travel without.
Camelback, grandmom’s rosary beads (she always wanted to go to Italy – but never did cause my grandfather served there), and journal

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited?
Too hard to pick.  But I was completely giddy at the pyramids of Giza

What’s the most beautiful place on Earth?
Anywhere can be beautiful – just depends on who you’re with
Top favs though include:
Fiji islands
Sunsets in Thailand and Morea, French Polynesia
The view from Pat’s balcony in Paris
The coral reefs of the Red Sea, Similan Islands in Thailand, and Honduras

If you could live in one country (besides your current residence) where would it be and why?
Italy – beautiful culture, boisterous and fun people, and gelato of course

What kind of camera do you bring with you when you travel?
Canon powershot- I’m not sure the exact model -just ask Ned ; )

Have you ever backpacked through Europe, and where did you go?
Not yet

What’s your favorite landmark and why?
Eiffel Tower is my fav. because my husband proposed in front of it

What’s your favorite beach and why?
Sea Isle City, New Jersey because I was a lifeguard there for five summers. It’s like home away from home. 

What are your hobbies?
Scrapbooking

What sports do you play?
I’m a swimmer and former swim coach

What do you love most about working for Travel for Teens?
Definitely the people I meet – the staff, campers, and friends from around the world – are amazing!
