Getting to Know TFT – Jonathan Bolick

Our next staff profile is all about Junior Counselor Jonathan Bolick. Jon has been with TFT for years, starting out as a participant and working his way up as a CIT. He’s coming back in the summer of 2010 for his second year as a Junior Counselor, and we are very lucky to have him with us.

Languages you speak: Intermediate Chinese and Beginner Spanish


TFT trips that you’ve been on: Thailand & Cambodia, Australia, Greece, Paris and the South of France, Eastern Europe, and Amsterdam Belgium and Paris.

(For non full-time staff) What is your current job outside of TFT? Political Intern for Curtis Loftis’ South Carolina Treasurer Campaign.

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited? Thailand…AMAZING trip!

What’s the most beautiful place on Earth? There are WAY to many beautiful things to just pick one, but from the places I have visited I would have to say Ko Phi Phi, Thailand. 

What’s the strangest food you have eaten? I’d have to say Kangaroo courtesy of TFT’s Australia Trip. They may be cute and cuddly, but they’re delicious all the same.  

Do you play a musical instrument? Used to play piano, trumpet, and guitar. 
   
What’s your favorite landmark and why? The St. Louis Arch because you can spell things on the ground! This picture was taken from the top of the arch as me and 25 other people spelled out “Hi” on the ground.



What’s your favorite beach and why? Tie between Isle of Palms, SC and Ko Phi Phi, Thailand. 

What are your hobbies? Photography, Volleyball, University of South Carolina Athletics…GO COCKS!

What sports do you play? Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Ultimate Frisbee, Bowling

What do you love most about working for Travel for Teens? The people! TFT has the best staff in the industry and the participants are the coolest! And the places we go aren’t too shabby either…

What are the top 10 places you want to visit? Iceland, Argentina, Japan, China, Antarctica, The North Pole, Southern Africa, Morocco, Egypt, and Brazil.
