DAY 1: NEWARK (FOR THOSE WHO OPT TO TAKE THE GROUP FLIGHT)

As the group flight takes off, the trip officially begins!

DAYS 2 – 4: BARCELONA

Fly to the most happening city on the Mediterranean, Barcelona, for good times on the beach, tapas and paella, and an unforgettable stroll on La Rambla. We’ll see Gaudi’s masterpieces, such as the Sagrada Familia church – still being built after 130 years – and the Parc Guell; take a cooking class, go on an awesome bike tour, see a flamenco show, catch some rays on the beach, and shop in some of most lively outdoor markets and trendy shops in Europe. To top it all off, we’ll eat a spectacular dinner at a rooftop restaurant on La Rambla!

DAYS 4 – 10: ROME, FLORENCE, PISA

Then it’s off to Italy, where Rome awaits us with its long and mighty history.  We’ll tour the ruins of the most important Ancient Roman monuments and structures, and we’ll try to imagine the bloody spectacle of gladiatorial competition as we stand in awe at the Coliseum.  Then we’ll fast-forward to the Renaissance, crossing the Tiber to the Vatican City and marveling at the massive basilica dedicated to St. Peter. We’ll lose ourselves in the Vatican’s extensive collection of artistic masterpieces from the ancient world to the present day, culminating with a look at Michelangelo’s elaborate ceiling frescos in the Sistine Chapel. We’ll stroll the banks of the Tiber at night, toss a coin over our shoulders into the Trevi Fountain, and enjoy amazing Italian cooking before saying arrivederci, Roma, and heading to Florence, center of the Italian Renaissance. Here, in the heart of Tuscany, artists such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, as well as writers like Dante and Machiavelli completed some of their most famous masterpieces.  We’ll stand in awe of Michelangelo’s gorgeous David at the Accademia gallery, and we’ll tour the Uffizi, the world’s best collection of Italian Renaissance art, marveling at paintings by Botticelli, Caravaggio, and others.  Art and culture are not all that is in store for us in Florence, however; we’ll also enjoy an amazing pizza dinner, challenge ourselves to complete a tasty nighttime tour of some of best handmade gelato places in the city, and spend a night clubbing at one of our favorite dance spots.

DAYS 10 – 14: PARIS

Our final destination is Paris, the renowned City of Light.  Here, we will be staying on the Left Bank near Montparnasse, the heart of intellectual and artistic life in Paris in the 1920's.  We’ll visit the Louvre – the world’s largest art collection and home to da Vinci’s beguiling Mona Lisa – and enjoy an afternoon of shopping along the Champs Elysee, where boutiques from the world’s best designers line the street.  We’ll climb the Eiffel tower, enjoy a sunset cruise along the Seine, and take in spectacular views of the city from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. You can choose to visit the Picasso Museum or the Musee d'Orsay, both home to sublime artistic masterpieces. Wander the ancient streets of Montmartre, once the city’s artistic center, right next door to the famed Moulin Rouge.  At night, you can check out one of the hottest clubs in Paris, where you’ll dance all through the night.
